| Born in Moscow, Anna Arov immigrated to Canada in 1980, where she managed to avoid culture shock, get a degree in English and Russian literature and move on. After four years in Paris, she now lives in the Netherlands for five yeas. Her publications include Observatory, a beautiful book combining her verse with the art of Leon M. Dekker. Anna is on the editorial staff of the magazine Versal. She is also the host of Salon des Mots, a show of local and international poetry and music. Anna Arov werd geboren in Moskou en emigreerde in 1980 met haar ouders naar Canada, waar zij een culture shock overleefde, een graad in Engels en Russische literatuur verwierf en weer vertrok. Na vier jaar in Parijs verhuisde zij vijf jaar geleden naar Nederland. Een van haar publicaties is Observatory, een mooi boek dat haar poëzie met de tekenkunst van Leon M. Dekker verenigt. Anna is ook redactielid van Versal en zij is de organisator en presentator van Salon des Mots, een tweemaandelijkse show in Utrecht met lokale en internationale poëzie en muziek.
